Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain cloud-based software solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Perform system design, development, testing, documentation, and maintenance using Java/Python.
• Collaborate effectively with network device developers and UI developers to ensure seamless integration and product quality.
• Participate in requirement analysis and architecture design to shape innovative solutions.
• Ensure software code meets high standards of quality, testability, maintainability, and usability.
• Mentor and guide peers and junior developers to foster team growth and technical excellence.Skills Requirements:
  • Proven expertise in application system design and development, with a focus on building scalable and reliable systems.
  • Strong understanding of advanced programming concepts such as multi-threading, memory management, micro-service, and operating systems.
  • Extensive experience in architecture, implementing, and managing high-performance server-side applications on Linux/Unix and cloud platforms.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to complex environments and learn new concepts, technologies, and tools as required.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on delivering robust solutions.
  • Self-motivated, independent, detail-oriented, and an accountable team player.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.Experience Requirements:
    • 5+ years of hands-on experience in object-oriented software development using Java and Python.
    • 5+ years of experience developing multi-threaded and distributed applications.
    • 3+ years of experience developing cloud-based applications (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).
    • 3+ years of experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
    • 3+ years of experience working with relational (RDBMS) and NoSQL databases.
    • Familiarity with LLM tuning is a plus.
    • Experience with additional programming languages such as Go, Rust, or PHP is a plus.Educational Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $139,100-$180,100. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.All roles are eligible to participate in the Fortinet equity program.
